      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I understand that tar1090, by default, does not contain dpt/arr airport code information as it&#039;s not part of the ADS-B info sent by planes. I&#039;m enjoying looking at this map and often look up where planes are coming in from or headed to. It&#039;s been great talking to one of my sons about. We look up and see a plane flying overhead and know what the call sign is but it&#039;s an extra step to google it to see where&#039;s it&#039;s headed. I saw that you can use airlabs.co to look this up 1,000 times a month...<br />

I am trying to understand a bit about the &quot;trace&quot; data and was hoping someone could explain if it is what I am looking for.  I am trying to get historic data, say over a certain time period, in a certain geographic box, broken by icao, and for each icao I would like an array of &quot;segments&quot; that are composed of transponder detections.  The idea is to analyze flights for each aircraft, and to base the analysis on the duration and area of each time the aircraft was flown.<br />
