    Howdy!

I noticed that the range rings do not show up when turned on in my browser. I'm running this on my FlightAware build with the added in adsbexchange git builds.

I went in and can see in /etc/default/adsbexchange that the lat and long are filled in properly. The installer/setup script actually filled things in for me during the initial setup. They are quoted for each variable definition in the file. But whenever I turn them on in the browser under the "gear" they do not appear. I don't know if it is supposed to be anything like the piaware maps are with the various radiating rings or not. So, I might have something still configured wrong on that.

Also, I noticed yesterday that the aircraft type isn't showing for any of the entries suddenly. This was working before and appears to have stopped for some reason. Is that something else I might have misconfigured or possibly has gone wrong that I need to fix?

I've restarted the pi and validated the services are all running in systemctl as well for both adsbexchange services and the piaware status is good too. On the myip page it looks good there as does the stats page.

Thanks for any help in advance! This is a great app!!

Which map are you talking about, the online mirror for your local map provided by adsbexchange?
It doesn't have range rings as the location isn't shown in the data because the page is public.

The local /dump1090-fa map is not something adsbexchange is responsible for.
I'm not exactly which "build" you are running, please elaborate.

    Howdy!

I have adsbexchange-stats installed and it is running tar1090 200318 on my piaware PI build 3.8.1-bpo8+1.

The map I have showing up is the one that loads as a result of clicking through the link at the bottom of the myip page (feeder map). Reading through some of the posts, it appears I might need to do some additional configurations or updates to get the range rings added into that local feeder map view. What I'm trying to do though is make it look like the piaware page that is also on the machine that shows the rings going out 100mi/150mi/200mi, etc.

On that same local feeder map instance, I'm also not seeing the aircraft types in the right side listing where it shows the aircraft being picked up. This just started happening yesterday, I believe. I have all of the details populating except the type column where I had that before and I haven't been able to figure out what could be causing that to not show up any longer.

I hope the above helps some..

    Thank you again in advance!

    Howdy weidehopf...

Thank you again for your help..

After digging into this a big more, I realized that I'm actually hitting the "tar1090 adsbexchange com" with the feed id parameter and not with the locally installed version of tar1090. Sorry if I mislead you on that.. I also found that this appears to be a browser issue on one machine that I use mostly to display the feed. Whenever I pull up the exact link on another machine, it is showing the aircraft type just fine. I suspect I might have a cache issue in the browser that I need to address.

Sometimes it is the easiest things that are the issue when you think it is something completely different...

    I appreciate your help again!!
