I have a handful of feeders (dual with ADSBx and FA) that have been running for a couple of years now. I have not touched them for at least a year, maybe longer. I believe at ver 1.28. A few are 1090/978 dual. Would it make more sense just to start fresh and just use the old UUID info or try to play catch up with updates? TIA TXM
Fresh is the way to go. At least the adsbexchange uuid is nothing you need to preserve, you'll just get a new one.
The related question is: For dual feeders (ADSBx + FA), should I start with the new ADSBx image and then add FA, or start with PiAware and add ADSBx? I plan to 1090+978 as many of them as possible as a part of the upgrade process.
It's really up to you. You could also start with a Raspbian image and then install what you need. https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wiki/wiki/Raspbian-Lite:-ADS-B-receiver
