It was reported that the Vice President returned to D.C while enroute to New Hampshire for rally. Prior to landing, a 747 (92-9000) was in a pattern around the outskirts at 3000 ft for about 20 minutes. Support aircraft seemed to loiter in the area as well before landing AFTER the 747 landed at Joint Base Andrews. Now, we all know the President travels in a 747. The Vice President in a modified 757. So, was the VP using the 747 because the other aircraft weren't available or for some other need? Or, was the President airborne to surprise people in NH? First started tracking around 11:55AM July 2, 2019 and landed at approximately 12:25PM.
It is my understanding the White House will release what occurred to dictate the Vice President's return to D.C. in two weeks. I am now wondering if the track of the 747 (typically used by the President) actually was airborne with the President on board for whatever reason or perhaps a coincidental training exercise in preparation for the July 4th Celebration occurring at the same time the VP was returning to D.C. Something's up.
