Slowly getting to grips with things! What do I need to backup so that I can restore my data if I install an updated image. Thanks
JBJ, I use Etcher to image my working sdcard to a file. You can then use Win32DiskImager to read the image file and flash a new micro sdcard. Here's a link for some info and download locations. You will need a way to read the sdcard. Either get a usb reader that can read the various size cards or an adapter card you can slide the smaller micro sdcard into. Hi - thanks for the reply - I am fairly au fait with a Raspberry Pi as I have them since the model 2b. At the moment I have six Pi 4Bs running 24/7 on various projects of mine, including weather sites and one dedicated to digital amateur radio broadcasting. Also I do not have any Windows machines only Apple devices. When flashing an SD card I use Apple Pi Baker. Once a project is up and running I transfer it to a small USB hard disk. The ADBS software is now on a 160gb USB 3 hard disk. I could use Apple Pi Baker to back it up but I was hoping for suggestions for ADBS files I could back up to a NAS device I have on a regular basis. This way if a new image comes along I could instal it and restore these files.
Brilliant - I will look forward to that. So as to my original question are there any data files I can backup from my current image that I could restore to the new image and start up from where I left off?
