    Hi all,

Today I noticed several maps have disappeared. Any chance the other maps will return? I especially liked the carto light one.

Ok, I'll just have to live with it. Thanks for the quick reply.

  4. Any idea why those were removed? For those of us that only read English, looking at other areas (like Middle East) is going to be a problem without translation, as was done by Carto Light.

    Usage policy.
I suppose i'd be curious as well if i didn't know.
Not that it matters really, we don't just remove stuff without a good reason.

Yes we're looking for a replacement.
No we don't know if and when we will find one.

With the layer directly to OpenStreetMap now gone, I'm curious to know how often the OSM by ADSBx layer will be synced with changes contributed to OpenStreetMap? I'm a frequent contributor to OpenStreetMap and have spent a lot of time making significant map improvements to local airports and other aviation related facilities. A big part of my motivation is to improve the experience of ADSBx users who use that layer, so it's often a little disappointing to see the OSM by ADSBx not be up to date with what I've contributed to OSM.

It shouldn't lag behind more than ... 3 to 6 months i believe ... we can possibly get that to a fixed 2 month maximum lag i suppose.
Maybe we can reenable the openstreetmap layer .... we'll see.

Anyhow it'll make it in for sure.

We try to be kind to OSM since they are also volunteer funded. Granted they are well funded by a lot of commercial enterprises, but that doesn't mean we don't do as much as we can to reduce load on the official OSM servers.

CartoDB removal is ... unfortunate .. working on a solution...
