Changing my position marker on the map

The "my position marker" has moved me around 200 miles to the North East of my actual location. I can see how to turn it off but how do I enter my correct location. I've only noticed this error today, I'm sure it was correct a few days ago

I didn't know there was such a thing as a local map, anyway global map. I just go to the main site and click on the tracking map

Well if you contribute data there is a local map of what you receive.

Anyhow ... i linked what you need (map-help) in my previous post ...

So on the globe page by default the page asks the browser for a location.
If you're not a tablet / phone, the location is guessed by the browser using your external IP, this can go wrong.
You can overwrite that with SiteLat SiteLon parameters in the URL, once set it will stay like that in the browser unless you change it or use SiteClear as described in the map help.

If you're contributing data i hope that's not via VRS which is no longer supported?

No, RPi. I'm getting 3 greens here so I assume all is ok https://www.adsbexchange.com/myip/

    Yes thanks, original problem resolved.
Just checked on the map you linked to, I realise my exact position position won't be shown for security reasons but my location on the map is 2-3 miles (4 to 5 km) from my actual location - is this difference normal ?

    That difference is very normal.
All positions are snapped to a 5 mile grid and then randomly offset of that to avoid too many overlapping dots.

It's mostly for rural areas i realize in a city 5 miles is a lot :)
