I have loaded the Piaware image onto my Raspi 3B+ and feeding this Exchange as well. I am overwhelmed with different forks on Github including New ADSBExchange base image v1.0 that looks very attractive. I am happy to try out a few forks on he Raspi as they offer some nice features; but I don't want to "brick" my setup because of software interaction. The problem seems to be whether they work together, and whether they will leave the Piaware image intact as I don't want to compromise my obligations to FlightAware. Any contributors would be welcome ensuring this noobie doesn't drop himself in the mire, haha
Buy new SD card, download Raspbian, burn and play as much as you want. You can always install FA feeder and set same feeder ID so you don't loose your stats. If you decide to use ADSBx: ADSBx image allows you to install any additional feeder (FA, FR24, PF, RB, OpenSky etc.).
They are really all the same when it comes down to it. dump1090-fa has navp/nucp data and Oliver (now an employee of FA, one can assume) is now longer updating any fork but the FA fork.
