Custom feed setup issue browser

I'm experiencing a problem accessing the custom feed menu additions. Although I am accessing the correct URL (https://customglobal.adsbexchange.com/VirtualRadar/desktop.html) the display is not always loading the additional menu items e.g. receivers etc. It works perhaps 1 time in 10. The other times it does not load the custom menu items nor any aircraft symbols, which would suggest that no default receiver is being selected. Without the additional menu options I cannot access the feed that I am requesting (51152). Is anyone else seeing a similar problem, or can anyone suggest a possible cure?

For information, the problem exists on both Firefox and Pale Moon browsers. Javascript is enabled. No adblocker is installed. The map is centered roughly on NE America / SE Canada.

Do you experience same kind of problems on Global Radar View?

MDA, I have a different problem (but trivial) with GlobalView. But for the moment I cannot access my feed because I cannot get to the menu to select it. I have been repeatedly trying to load the Custom Feed page and menu items for over half an hour. I have waited up to 10 minutes on a few occasions just in case the update is slow but I can tell from monitoring the internet data in that nothing is being delivered. I get mapping, as I explained above, but no additional menu items and no aircraft data.

MDA, Yes, thank-you. I can see your feed, mapping and aircraft, exactly as it should be.

I can also everything on the GlobalView page, including the aircraft that I am providing to that view. But I cannot receive my feed on the CustomFeed page because there is no menu item to allow me to do so. I have tried clearing the cache but I am still only able to access the mapping and conventional menu items on the Custom Feed Page.

By the way, it looks like you have a good receiver/antenna combination judging by the amount of traffic you can see.

Did you try to connect from another computer or mobile phone?

Yes, I've just fired up another computer and I get exactly the same response.

Can be something with your internet provider (blocking some traffic or your IP is somehow blocked on adsbexchange).
Let's wait for James, maybe he can help.

    OK, thanks for your help.
Just for info, I have no problems with my provider in any other respect, and I cannot think why my IP would be blocked on adsbexchange. However, I do hate javascript - and I note that adsbexchange uses it heavily - it is keeping 1 of my 4 cores pretty busy displaying what little data I can download from the site.

Javascript is how the dynamic web works. :D I'm not seeing any problems on the custom feed server and I can navigate and use the menus on Chrome. If the global feed works fine then the custom feed should work fine - it's an identical install.

    Ideas?

Make sure you have "Hide aircraft not on map" checked - that will blow up your browser if not. VRS is terrible at this scale - we're going to try to move away from it this year. Even for feeders - timestamp are wrong - things are wonky. Pi Feeds using dump1090 are much more reliable.

James, look at sync matrix. Very often there are no data from western France and Spain.
    Why?

James. I understand the need for javascript but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. :)
Eventually, I had to kill my browser as it was simply using CPU cycles at a steadily increasing rate. The browser became unresponsive tying up 2 of my 4 cores. The only site I was accessing was adsbexchange. I can access and display what I am feeding into adsbexchange direct from dump1090 on the RaspPi that I am using to provide the feed to you. However, accessing your site is sometimes proving to be problematic. The main javascript culprits seem to be code inserted by Google and their unwanted advertising.
Sometimes, when I select GlobalView page it starts loading for a few seconds and then the URL changes to your home page. Having a bookmark to GlobalView is pointless for me, because the first attempt always does this. Sometimes, it takes 2 or 3 attempts to get the GlobalView to load.
I have been unable to access the CustomFeed page successfully for several hours. It loads the map (centered roughly on Connecticut ) but no aircraft nor the custom menu items are displayed. I cannot connect to my receiver (51152) because there is no menu item to allow me to do so.
As someone else has just pointed out in a post, the MLAT sync table keeps dropping feeders from France and Spain - I know my feed is being sent but the MLAT entry that was there a few hours ago has now disappeared.
I suspect - but perhaps I should say guess - that there is something wrong with the data transfer between us both. The problems are am seeing are the same on a total of 3 browsers and on 2 different computers. But, to be honest, I haven't got a clue how to go about resolving it.

I've notice this happen for the last 3 afternoons - that would be around 1400UTC until after 1800UTC. The following morning my MLAT data is back in the table again. Being new to the site I wasn't sure if this was something linked to the updating of the pages or even something that was commonly seen.

That server gets hammered for some reason. MLAT is nasty, it's nasty to calculate - it's slow and I think there are a lot of feeders sending a lot of data there. It's running at a water cooled 4.5Ghz, and the server is single thread - so .. ugly.

Problem is known. It looks that in some periods feeders connections are rejected.
Some time ago MLAT was split into regions. But this kind of problem is affecting mostly region 3 (Western Europe).
Personally I think that there is something wrong with data exchange between SW Europe and US servers.

You are 1st person reporting such kind of problem with access to Custom Feeds.

    Did you check hide aircraft?

I can recreate whats happening by unchecking hide aircraft and being on the full consolidator feed.

That's it trying to calculate 5000 positions of aircraft every few seconds from a text file. :D

RE bookmark / redirect - Sorry we had to do that to save bandwidth and money - people were
leaving the feed up 24/7 - and obv not watching it.

If you want to look at it all the time - install VRS and connect to our stuff using VRS. Even as terrible as VRS is - it's better than webrowser.

    Yes, hide aircraft was checked.

The redirect problem is when I first try to log on to the site each day. For some reason it always tries to load the GlobalView page and then reverts back to the home page. After a few attempts it seems to work OK until next time I restart my browser. Not a big problem, more of a general annoyance.

Change idle timeout to 2 minutes (default value is 20)

The timings that I am seeing for the feeds being rejected from Region 3 would tie in to the US users coming on line each morning? Perhaps it is simply a matter of demand.

Well, after 4 hours I've managed to establish a link to my Custom Feed. It is not an insurmountable problem for me, it was rather me wanting a confirmation that you were receiving my feed because my location disappeared from the MLAT Sync table and MLAT coverage pages. I can always view my data directly here from dump1090.
