I am using the download API to get information. I noticed the following and curious why it takes some time for a spot to be downloaded in the data feed. I saw, for instance, RCH5102 coming through my range and it was displayed in my list of aircraft. If I checked the downloaded data the aircraft is not in there. Tar1090 does report it is MLAT and not ADSB. I watched for over ten minutes and nothing. It did appear but after the aircraft was almost out of range. Is this normal?
So ... which API are you using, could you be more specific? The aircraft.json on your local receiver? Really depends where you are and how well your MLAT works. Anyhow i'm just guessing, really you need to describe exactly where it wasn't showing and where it was showing. URLs are often best ... There is local tar1090 / global tar1090 ... the actual API no clue which you're talking about is which.
Using the URL for military aircraft. Can't post that here as it thinks it is spam. I'm seeing the aircraft on my receiver, but the aircraft is not showing up in the downloaded data from adsbexchange. I looked at the feed stats on the Pi and RCH5102 is not listed. Doesn't happen with all aircraft. I'll wait and see when there is a good example and will post.
Yeah your description isn't any better now than it was before. Here with only mil aircraft? https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ > downloaded data from adsbexchange. Do you mean MLAT results? Are you aware about how altitude affects your range? Also to get MLAT results you need good reception and your sync must be working: https://adsbx.org/sync
You are from MARS, what data are you trying to use? Why do you not respond to my emails? I suspect you are using a VRS url, which is useless and broken data.
Apologize, but I have not seen any emails from you. I am using the data feed that was given to me when I started my feed. I am the Command of the part that provides phone patches for DoD aircraft. We use the information from adsb so we know where to point our antennas. I can't post the URL here. It says it is spam. Uses curl, with auth-key to the URL ending in mil.
Could you cross check next time if you can find the plane on here: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ One reason for what you have described could be for example using another feed network on the RPi which also provides MLAT results. If it's on the global page i linked above but not in the API, then we need to check the way the data goes to the API.
