What's the status on updating the database? I've got a hot air balloon with a call sign CFRGY and a tail reg C-FFDW doing ~290kts on a final to Winnipeg.

No update. Going to be a while.

Truth is that I have no idea when this functionality will be restored. Keep track of edits and we'll take care of them in due time.

We just ordered a $2000/mo server and going to make some changes and updates. A week or two to get it setup and working. Hopefully figure out how we can edit the database from the ui ...

It looks like the database is back online.

Is it OK to start adding data yet?

OK, great. Only about 500 or so...:)

I can edit existing data, but don't seem to be able to add new hex codes at the moment...

James, would it be more advantageous to have a Google Form, which dumped to a Google sheet, which could be exported and then all the changes compiled??

We made that for writing the config. Problem is I have to go an look at form responses, verify they are actually feeding data, verify the port is right, verify they aren't sending VRS data to Beast and vice versa. Only about 1 out of 5 people get it right ... so emails go out .. then emails come back lol

I'm about half way through port requests. I actually have no idea who the database edits are done. I'm just getting comfortable with the custom ports server.

"Look at form responses" the google form simply logs to a spreadsheet. I was talking about edit requests instead of in a forum thread, which has to be copied and pasted at minimum.
The sheet could add a concatenation to search for the ICAO online or via another sheet to reference the craft.
As for Ports, I'd run a simple database that would query if the port was already requested to be used or not.
Then I'd recycle that port on a yearly basis if no data came from that feeder in 12months. Just run that script against the DB weekly.

Do you want edit access? While I'm figuring this out - I can probably set you up .. would be a good thing for me to have as well
