Hi all, First post. As someone who loves aviation, technology, and being a pilot, I feel like I've come to the right place. Excited to be a part of this community. Clearly, I'm very new here and trying to learn as much as I can, and trying to come up to speed on my own. One question that I'm having a hard time figuring out: how do you easily discover destination and origin data for a flight? In particular, I'm spending a lot of time using the virtual radar live map. When I click a flight, or browse the data on the list, I can see plenty of data, but none related to the flight destination or origin. However, when I hover over a flight on the map, I can see this data. I get that this info may not be native to the the ADS-B feed, but clearly the data does exist. Am I missing something to see this information on click, or why do I only see it on hover on the map? Thanks!
Hi Jbb, I understand the origin and destination are derived from the callsign. It is looked up in a route database captured from ACARS messages and manual entry. Details are explained here: http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/FlightRoutes.aspx
