    Hi all,

New to the forum so hoping someone can help me with my issue, please.

Some months ago I installed the ADS-B Exchange scripts on my Pi (for this summary, Pi #1) but it messed up another mlat feeder so I uninstalled it completely (or so I thought!) to prevent any further issues. I had another Pi spare recently (Pi #2) and decided to install the ADS-B Exchange scripts on that instead. After the initial setup was completed, I checked the sync maps and stats and noticed a similarly named feeder nearby. Confused by this, I searched Pi #1 for the name tag of the feeder and noticed it was attached to this Pi (Pi #1) and it was in use with a program called mlat-client. Searching the rest of Pi #1 for anything ADS-B Exchange-related returns absolutely nothing, other than this mlat-client program with this specific name tag.

    - Does it look as though ADS-B Exchange is running on Pi #1?
    - More importantly, how is it running on Pi #1 when nothing seems to be installed properly?
    - How can I get it so that i can use the status commands to check its running properly? When I do a status check of mlat-client on Pi #1 is suggests that it's 'active (exited)'. Using the stop command on mlat-client doesn't seem to take the feeder offline on the sync maps.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    Cheers,

Feed client was changed to avoid issues with the mlat-client package as another aggregation site was using a modified version of mlat-client without using a different name for the package.
Thus the other site was creating the issue not us.
But as it's tiresome to argue with people who say: "you broke my setup" we changed our mlat client to be completely independent.

These are the current scripts, see for checking their status there, they will also remove any old adsbexchange scripts upon installation.

The icons on the mlat map are not precise for privacy reasons. They snap to a grid and then are randomly offset to avoid overlapping icons for receivers in the same grid.

'active (exited)' means for example it's disable via the config file for the original mlat client service (which we haven't used for a long time).
Anyhow i'd just recommend installing the feed scripts on pi1 if it's in a different location or has the better reception :)
