Hello, I would like to filter and track multiple aircraft. For example, I would like to track all med flight helicopters in our area. I know the tail numbers. Is there any way to do this in the feed? I know I can do one at a time in the filter box but is it possible to do more than one?
    Thanks you,
    J

    ?icaoFilter=AEAEA1,AEAEA2

You can do it like this.
You'll need to get the icao addresses.
It is displayed below the callsign in the details tab on the left when you select an aircraft.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have the ICAO numbers. I am a little confused about how to enter them. Using the newer tar1090 display, do I use the 'Filter by description' box? Do I type in "?icaoFilter=C079A6, AC234F" (for example)?

    Thank you again,
    J

Does this only work on the adsbexcahngt site? Or can it be done a local pi feeder tar1090 map?

    Did you try? :)

Anyhow, it kinda worked in that it didn't filter the history.
I've modified the function to kick in earlier so the filter is also used on the history.

My setup is a pi with the image from the adsbexchange etched onto it.

No clue why it wouldn't work.

Also you didn't answer if the 2nd URL works.

My apologies. Multi tasking kids, wife, and webinar support for work.

I just did a test of the same ICAO code.
On my local machine it takes 59 second from entering the page for the filter to engage. On the adsbexchange map it is instant. I used the code A423C4 which is DAL2750 passing by Atlantic City NJ @ 13:37 EST.

The ?mil filter did not work on my map and again worked instantly on the adsbexchange map.

You'll have an old version of tar1090
You should be able to update using the tar1090 install script.

Also the 404 you described before .... obviously isn't happening anymore.
Anyhow i'll count this as solved.

Is there a limit to how many MODE 5 codes you can put in the address bar? I've had success with 2 but not anything past that.

And is there a trick to use filters to track multiple mode 5's? Or multiple types?

I got it to work, Just took a lot of refreshing. Is there any way to add aircraft to a filter from the map?

I'd really like to be able to filter multiple types. Like filter EC35s and C172s. Is there a character that would make the computer think & and not a continued string of characters?

I'm trying to make this simple for my friends to use and add aircraft while tracking a predetermined set.

    Roger Mode S not 5.

    EC35|C172

allow EC35 OR C172 to be displayed.

Filters can't be put in the URL, if that's what you're asking.
