    Hi,

ICAO 4008a7 (G-NIHM) which is a HEMS helicopter showing as a fixed wing today in Globe.
Would have changed over the last few days (was OK at start of the week).

    https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=4008a7

Type shows H2T so don't think it's a DB issue.

    Thanks.
    John.

    That's being broadcast.
    Rotorcraft should broadcast A7.

It's a recent code change to focus on displaying what the transponder is transmitting when the broadcast category disagrees with the DB type.

In instances where the DB is wrong, this gives better icons.
Maybe it also gives the maintenance personnel for that helicopter an incentive to fix how the transponder is programmed :)

I'll see how i like the code change for the interface .... verdict on that is still out.
I suppose i need to somewhat make clear in the details how the interface makes such decisions and what is in the DB and what is broadcast.
