Hi I am trying to get an understanding of the gain setting in the ADSBEx image and what it does. I understand what different gains from an antenna do, but I am still tring to wrap my head around what setting the gain in the programme does, I think, and please correct me if i am wrong, that gain is a bit like squelch on my Airbandd radio. The higher the sequlch the less background noise I'll pick up, but at the cost of picking up weaker signals. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction if I have got this wrong.
