I noticed that when I restart Firefox (57.0.2, Windows 7) and browse to the Global Radar View tab, it's forgotten my location and I find myself in Jolly Old England. I have to go to Menu->Options and turn on "Use GPS Location", then Menu->Shortcuts->Go to current location. As long as I don't close the browser my real location is remembered. But if I close Firefox it's all forgotten again. I'm running the same Firefox version on a Linux box at home and it always remembers my last location even from a cold start. Any suggestions about what's going on?
Firefox 57.0.2 (64 bit), Win 7 Ultimate, position is not forgotten. In Menu->Options only "Show current location" is selected. Do you have GPS receiver connected to your PC?
I don't have GPS but somehow it figures out approximately where I am when I check the GPS box. Really it doesn't seem to remember any of the option settings if I restart Firefox.
Try to set your position and after that use such options: https://screenshots.firefox.com/NoBPChxN6rU1l32G/global.adsbexchange.com It has to be your position , and cookies has to be enabled.
That's what I did and it still doesn't work. I also used "Set Current Location" and dragged the marker all the way from London to Maryland, USA. It remembers as long as I don't restart Firefox. Arg! It must not be setting cookies for some reason. Cookies from other web sites are stored just fine. In fact there are cookies from adsbexchange stored.
Yeah it's something on my Win 7 PC, maybe Symantec is interfering. Oh well it's really just an annoyance anyway.
Are you logged in to adsbexchange main website? Not only on forum. This could be a reason why your personal settings are not stored.
Please put description of your OS (version of W7, antivirus and so on...) Maybe somebody has similar configuration and will try to check behavior. I'm using ESET as antivirus. I hope we can solve this problem. Marcin
I finally figured out which Firefox setting was messing me up: "Clear history when Firefox closes" This isn't something I would normally set so I think it's part of the standard work setup. I unchecked it and now it remembers where I am on the map.
