grep for mode c? (Are mode c packets captured locally?)

At what point are mode c packets not available? Are they on a different band/frequency? or does the software on the Pi filter them? or the feed to ADSBx?

I sometimes dump / watch the raw feed heading to adsb by running the nc command on the local host ip (which seems to trigger a cloudflare blocking script if I type it in here... :-/ )

Lots of data flowing by! Is there a way to grep out just the mode c packets?

Depending on your decoder setting, the decoder will ignore ModeC.

ModeC isn't fed and if it is it's ignored.

Do you want port 30005, because that's what should be going to adsbexchange.
Also .... it won't be human readable at ALL.

view1090-fa and viewreadsb are properly what you want ..... they are available with dump1090-fa and readsb respectively.
Don't think you can only show ModeC though.

I suppose you could add an option to readsb / viewadsb to only accept / show ModeA/C
But to me ModeC just isn't that interesting.
