Hi, I ordered a Pi 4B with 2Gb RAM (plus case, power adapter and micro-sd card). Would the following be OK? FlightAware Pro Stick Plus (USB SDR ADS-B Receiver) FlightAware 1090MHz ADS-B N-Type Antenna 26" - 5.5dBi SMA Male to N-Type Male Antenna Cable (5m) I live in West Wales, in the middle of nowhere, so there shouldn't be much interference. I will pop the antenna outside, at roof level. Cheers Pete
Do you have some specification for the cable? Better coax never hurts. I haven't tried the coax, but this seems like a good offering for LMR400: https://www.amazon.de/Coaxial-Cable-Male-SMA-LMR-400/dp/B07MJ34W2S Almost too good a price for LMR400, but the picture at least looks like good quality. But yeah what you posted will work.
Thanks for the info. This is the cable: https://thepihut.com/products/sma-male-to-n-type-male-antenna-cable-5m?variant=20063170986046
Yeah LMR400 is lower loss than what you linked. But the linked coax isn't terrible either. Depends if you want every last bit of range out of the setup.
Yes. It's basically line of sight. (ignoring clouds though) https://discussions.flightaware.com/t/what-is-the-maximum-range-i-can-get/17248
