greetings all i have an issue with the position marker -- it keeps placing my location at least 20 miles north of me -- i live in stuart florida and the marker keeps placing me in fort pierce & sometimes as high as cape canaveral --- i reset my modems / cleaned out the cookies / powered down / waited a few hrs / powered back up good modem signal but still marking north of me -- is anyone else having these issues ?? if there is a fix for this ??? -- thanks for your time folks -- hope to hear from someone ....
hey thanks for the reply but im not sure what map your mentioning -- fairly new to this stuff on here not an expert like some others -- the map im using is here --> https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ i had no problems with the marker until recently -- as for the privacy reasons who is the privacy for me or then who since you brought it up -- im curious -- also how does the { your position } - { located in the aircraft legend window } - actually work as a marker .... to find it jumping around seems a bit buggy imho ...
The MLAT map ADSBexchange.com Feeder Coverage shows approximate positions rounded to the nearest grid corner, but it also moves from time ti time to another corner of the grid for privacy purposes. The Globe map shows location based on your browser or phone knowing your coordinates AKIK. I even see differences between browsers. You have to allow the browser to see your location, otherwise it just might make a guess based on your IP address.
ah now i see appreciate the input & response makes sense now -- i just went to the feeder coverage link & noticed that there is a feeder about 1 mile from me -- well i thank you once again ....
negative -- ham radio operator -- 1 day ill do feeds but dont have the time right now to jump into it -- funny as i write this the marker seems to be on the right spot location on the map -- yep we have a bouncer ... lol .... tty soon & thanks again from sunny florida
yep somethings going on here for the past 3 days now the position marker is now placing me in a different state all together -- sorry but there is something definately wrong here -- maybe an administrator can chime in on the technical issues on here --
negitive -- no VPN here -- using comcast as my intrnet provider here in east central florida & its not active ...
