Now that I have followed the scripted setup on my existing RPi to feed adsb exchange, how do I know adsb exchange is receiving my feed? My setup is simply a FlightAware plus receiver on a RPi 3.
Go to https://www.adsbexchange.com/active-feeds/. Look after your region. Make your choice... Cheers, Joop.
You should see traffic within 30 seconds to a minute on the global page - and if you used the script and are feeding MLAT then you'll see your receiver when the hourly update to the map runs.
I have this question too. I went to " Feed statistics page" (forum won't let me post a URL) found my region, saw my station name in the matrix, but there were no numbers in its row/column. I looked at the coverage map and did not see my location. I am using the advanced script so I don't need to re-image my raspberry pi. All seemed to go well. I let it run overnight and still no numbers. I rebooted and again no numbers. Perhaps I missed a step. But the main question here is what exactly should I do to tell if it is working?
That advanced script wasn't written by Dan or I and might not work with the most recent piaware or something didn't go right. It works for some - and not for others. I don't know what the issue is exactly. I know FR24 tries to take over the SDR instead of listening on a port. There we some other issues that I got emailed but not sure why they happen. Instead of fighting the troubleshooting game. Reimage using the newest PiAware with everything for ADSBexhange setup. All you need to do is edit the config file. https://www.adsbexchange.com/2017/12/30/new-piaware-image/
