ok, I am sure you guys have plenty to do keeping my favourite site going (thank you), but here goes anyway...:D

I had a lot of low-flying military activity over my house one day (UK), and it turned out to be a single plane circling for several hours, squawking 7700 with, I subsequently learned, engine failure (nice of it to repeatedly fly over my house!). Luckily it was a B52 so it had 7 spare engines ha ha. I think it was waiting for the little-used US base at RAF Fairford to be prepared for its landing.

This made me think it would be "nice" if there was an indication on the map icons of planes that are squawking emergency codes ie 7700, 7600, 7500 etc. All the colours seem to be used up so I was thinking a "badge"/coloured blob/superimposed icon such as a warning triangle.

But I would also find it useful if military aircraft were identified on the plane icon in some way (separately from clicking U).

But then... it would also be "nice" if other squawk codes were represented on the plane icon. In the UK air ambulances squawk 0020 but I guess that is country-dependent so would require a config option . And police squawk a special code too but that seems to vary from region to region, so it would require a config option of a list of possible sqawk codes.:rolleyes:

Anyway just a thought, easy when I'm not the one doing the work.
