I could not see the plane on my feed or any feed for that fact. The only place I could find it tracking was on PlaneFinder.net.

How come they were the only ones to be able to see it?

It said source for tracking was FAA, then I looked later when it was landing in Omaha and said FAA SWIM.

    The tail number was N21038.

ADS-B is only required in certain airspace and within specific altitudes. A VFR flight with no flight plan might not be tracked. Or maybe those sites don't bother to show them. There could be many reasons.

FAA Swim is primary radar. This comes direct from FAA, insetting that Planefinder is using FAA swim. That means they are also blocking and obfuscating traffic.
