Inaccurate position on feeder map and varying, how to solve?

The location of my feeder at the mlat-map (am not allowed to post a link yet) is varying and inaccurate (a few NM).

I have in /boot/adsbx-env the following settings:
    • JSON_OPTIONS="--json-location-accuracy 2"
    • INPUT_TYPE="dump1090"

In /boot/adsb-config.txt the resolution of my position is given in 6 decimals for latitude (11 cm) and 7 for longitude (i..e. 7 cm at this lattitude)

I see other stations being stable in their posittion.

Any solution? What am I doing wrong?

    It's on purpose.
Click on the sync stats ... if those are good it's all fine.

If it would be on purpose why for me and not for others? As I wrote I see other stations being fully fixed but mine varying day-to-day.

That is also why I set the JSON_OPTIONS different than the default.

You are probably reconnecting daily and others might not.
Anyhow the random part is just to avoid having multiple dots at the same coordinates. Each position is first snapped to a grid then one of 9 random offsets is applied.

JSON_OPTIONS only applies to your local interface.

Thank you very much for the explanation.

That I was reconnecting often was indeed the case. I was experimenting with the best position.
Conclusions out of that: higher with a bit more construction material (below tiled roof) is better than lower with less material (garage)
And also very important: Keep the Rapsberry Pi on a large distance from the antenna.

But it is not only the reconnecting/restarting of the Raspberry Pi itself, as that is now connected for more than 3 days according https:__www.adsbexchange.com_myip_ but also the mlat connection which seems to have reconnected 5 hours ago plays a role, as my position indicated on the map is now different than yesterday,

Ah yeah the mlat servers do restart nightly ... so everyone gets a different position or at least has the chance to.
At least you'll now see the others get a different position as well not just you .....
