Hi After years of unattended work on the attic, I discovered that my PI had collapsed. The SD card had issues. After formatting and installing the latest PI image yesterday, everything looks fine. Startup fine, network-lights flash, the ADSB USB-dongle shows a blue light,adsbexchange/myip/ shows all greens,my mlat position seen on map, IP/tar910 shows my dot on the world; everything looks perfect. Except not one plane was reported in 2 days. Even with some GA aircraft flying nearly overhead at lowlevel over my house/antenna. Score until now: 0 planes Is there a way to check the antenna, the dongle and the connection to the PI? Can that be verified/checked? Is it a port setting? Bye Joris
Check IP/graphs1090, share the signal graph please. You can ssh into the device or connect keyboard / monitor and check the log: sudo journalctl -u readsb | tail -n30 It's really hard to say what the issue is in such cases. I don't suppose you have anther antenna you can connect, can be a bad one. Even a 7 cm long piece of wire in the SMA connector of the SDR and setting the pi up so the SDR with the wire sticks up should give at least some reception. In some cases .... you just have to get another SDR to check if that's the issue. Which SDR do you have?
I'd say that SDR is toast. You can try the wire i mentioned and see if the signal / noise changes. https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wiki/wiki/adsb-receiver-shopping-list
