I am not very tech savvy and have no earthly ideas how to extract or see data of ADSB-Ex however I see it being used all the time in crash investigations etc. Here is my question, If I provided someone with my tail number could they pull a digital log book of all my flights in 2021??? Of course I would want to do this sometime after Jan 1st. Flightaware will provide this for nearly $300 dollars and that to me is insane. I'm NOT going to pay that for MY data. Thank you, Brian
Howdy! Most simple way to find your data (or any plane's data) is to plug in your ICAO hex into the URL globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=****** and click on History in the aircraft's description. This will open the menu to click through all the historical tracks ADSBx has for your tail number.
Thank you for the reply bit at the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, how do I locate my ICAO Hex serial number?? My tail Number is N357BC, would this hex be in the FAA registry?
Thanks for the help this far. I was able to fumble my way to the History section. I am curious however, there is quite a few broken, and incomplete routes and a a few flights where there is NO data at all. Is this a result of system coverage? This was going to be the system to change the world, doesn't look very very impressive to me. And why does the coverage ususally stop several MILES before a destination airport? And what are the different colors on the Flight Track, Orange, Yellow, for example. Thanks again for you fantastic help.
https://www.adsbexchange.com/map-help/ will be helpful for you. Also https://www.adsbexchange.com/how-to-feed/ for improving coverage around your area! Planes tend to fly lower around airports .. and reception is most difficult for the lowest altitudes
