Lack of data means that there is not enough ADSBx feeders to detect low altitude traffic.

Its a pity JFK being my favourite airport to view is not picking up all departing traffic. I am hoping this can be resolved.
    Thanks

The resolution is to add sufficient feeders in the locations of interest! So, just add a receiver or two! What you are seeing (or not seeing) is not a deficiency in ADSBX.

This has only been happening the past week or so. The odd thing is the JFK radar will show a departing aircraft, then the next departing aircraft about a minute or less behind will not show up. These aircraft are full ADSB i.e. not mlat which is why i am puzzled.

I wonder if the receivers monitoring JFK departures work on a aircraft sensor mechanism? The reason i think this is because i just seen DAL41 dep on another site I monitor, but it did not show up on ADSBX, but the following DLH401 showed up. If a receivers is on all the time it would pick up all departures, but if the receiver is primed to only go on when it detects an aircraft, then maybe its sensor is not detecting all departures hence why they are not showing up.
Thats all i could think of.

If you want to track arrivals and departures of civil planes from JFK better use FR24 or FA.

Today the ADSBx JFK radar is working well again, so i will happily continue viewing it.
The ADSBx radar is far clearer than FR24 and Flight Aware which is why it is my number 1 radar for viewing air traffic, plus FA is not live.
I did use Planeplotter JFK radar which was very good, and will be a alternative JFK radar when ADSBx is not working well.
