Looking to do feeding with a Win 10 PC - is it viable?

I have my SDB and antenna coming from Amazon!

I have a bunch of spare win 10 PCs along with a couple that are always on / I use for work.

Can I use them, running windows and do ADS-B feeds? I don't see the sense of getting a Pi when I have these spare PCs. and even though someone said I could put a certain Linux on a PC to get it to be like a Pi, I'd just assume stick with windows 10 - I'm more familiar with it and for the occassional troubleshooting of the machine doing the feeding, I don't want to have to re-learn linux commands (using them so infrequently, I'll forget them).

This talks of a windows setup and it's dated from 2014.

Dump1090 is (one) of the programs needed to feed, right? So is doing with with a win 10 PC viable? Anyone have strong thoughts on why or why not to use a windows PC?

And can the PC be used for other things at the same time?

    THANKS!

    You can't feed with Windows.

Please use Raspbian / Ubuntu / Debian.
Buy a Raspberry Pi or install Ubuntu on one of the spare PCs.

We don't support feeding using Windows, that's just all that is to say about that topic.

Installing Ubuntu is not so hard.
Once it is installed, you can do the following to feed:

    Plug in your SDR.

    Install a decoder: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-scripts/wiki/Automatic-installation-for-readsb

    Install the feed scripts: https://github.com/adsbxchange/adsb-exchange#obtaining-and-using-the-scripts
