A couple of days ago I pulled the power plug of my Pi running Piaware 3.5.3 at a bad moment causing it to hang at boot up. Now I have a new 3B+ up and running but I never made a note of my custom feed port number and I cannot retrieve it from the original sd card since it has already been formatted. What happens with ports that are no longer in use for a couple of days? Can I retrieve my old port number or do I have to claim a new one?

Just set the new feeder to the same port you were feeding. The ports are always waiting for your feed.

I do need to starting removing ports with no data and returning then to the open pool. If I don't see data on them for a month or so, then I plan to starting removing them.

If the requester filled out an email. I try to send out an email asking if they still want to feed, etc.

Most of the time people are friendly and we get them setup. ABout 1 out of every 10 ports, someone doesn't respond, is a jerk face,or responds with a 2 word reply. I then put the port back in the 'open pool'.
