Has anyone here merged data from ACARS or VDL messages with ADS-B data? I have an ADS-B receiver with good coverage (around 400km) and also have two receivers listening to ACARS and VDL messages in the VHF aircraft band. It would be cool to be able to somehow merge the two types of data together. For example, running Virtual Radar Server as the map front end, it would be really cool if you could click on an aircraft on the map and also display recent ACARS/VDL traffic from or to that aircraft as well. I've researched on the Internet but have not found anything that will combine or correlate the two types of feed data. Anyone tried this or have something working? Appreciate your thoughts and suggestions!
The only way I could find was to use Planeplotter, which will show ADSB and ACARS messages on the same map. Haven't found a way to do it with VRS yet.
