I'm going to try to upload a screen grab I did of flight LDYACE42 and its crazy altitude changes.
Check out the altitude changes made in short time frame with no real change in aircraft speed. Calculated altitude change speeds over 10,000 mph. Ex. In last pic it went from 4775 to 122500 in 8 secs, 14,715 fps or 10,033 mph!!

or maybe it’s a test of a transponder counterfeiting output?

    Thoughts?

You honestly think the transponder is bad? Its not like it glitched out for a moment, the whole flight was like that. More pics uploaded including one with an overview of the flight.

It's MLAT, so it could be altitude from MLAT because the aircraft isn't sending its altitude.

I'm just saying .. it's quite rare and not much of an issue.

This is a chin bin at RAF Odiham on the deck, but showing 31,900'. Calibration is not zero'd correctly on the box. Bad calibration on boxes cause these's problems.
