Having used ADSB for quite some time and finding it user friendly can someone help with a problem just experianced this week. When I load the programme (Using a Mac desktop) I get on screen all the usual information i.e. aircraft info height callsign etc, BUT the map has suddenly dissapered and having tried reloading the programme many times and clicking on the H icon to refresh map, where the map should be displayed is just a plain white background. All the other info shows as per normal Please can anyone help with the reason and a solution. Many thanks Derek
Try /?reset after whichever URL you're using. (you're not specifying global or map for your own receiver) Talking global it would be: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?reset
Thanks for that. Just clicked on your link and it takes me to the ADSB page which loads but still without the map showing. I appreciate your help but do you have any other advice please
When you have the issue press F12, click Console Log, drag that part of the window larger and make a screenshot.
I'm having the same problem with both my wife's and my own tablet but it works ok on my phone and computer. Seems to have started about Tuesday or Wednesday.
You're not showing the console log, without that ... can't help you. You can both try and disable webGL via the gear menu.
I'm just gonna quote myself. Edit: well apparently it's all totally complicated because Apple. https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/ Or google some other article on how to open the javascript console. Find the little gear for the settings menu and uncheck the checkbox.
Also i would still appreciate a screenshot of the browser console: How to Open the Developer Console – Support
Be aware that disabling webgl will mean the map is slow when display more than around 200 aircraft and get progressively slower the more aircraft are displayed. That's the reason i changed the map to use webGL by default, it's just that much faster. You can re-enable webgl in the settings menu (gear icon). I've also tried and built in better detection if webgl works or not. But it seems the devices on which webGL fails ... it fails in an unpredictable way ....
