Hi all! Just started feeding, and I notice my position on the mlat-map page is several miles off. I want to make sure I'm not throwing data off-kilter since I live near a USAF installation and the mlat paths displayed are already pretty jagged. Just want to make sure I'm contributing good data and not being part of the problem. I got the latitude and longitude from Google Maps and even clicked on the side of my house where my antenna is, so I tried to be as precise as possible. Is this a valid concern, or should I relax and let the data flow? Thanks! grovermatic
I also just noticed the post from a few days ago asking a similar question. I know that's a forum no-no... my apologies.
Just look at your sync stats from the MLAT map. If it's all green and you are not in timeout then your location is correct.
Installed ADSB Exchange to complement my FlightAware feed. I discovered my position on the MLAT map is off by a few miles. Probably a programming error on my part. How do I correct it?
ADS-B EXCHANGE FEEDER MAP For privacy: locations are approximate 5372 feeders in the network. That's what's in the top left of the web page, does that help? Also see this to check the data you entered when installing: https://github.com/adsbxchange/adsb-exchange#checking-status
