    Hello,

I am new to this forum and to adsbexchange.
My feeder is sending data, smilies are green, but und my stats page, nothing is showing up.
Feeding was tried from dump1090 directly, feeder client and VRS-compressed push.

    You installed the stats?
    https://github.com/adsbxchange/adsbexchange-stats

    You checked the log?

    sudo journalctl --no-pager -u adsbexchange-stats

VRS feeds aren't supported any more, no need to try that.
"directly from dump1090"? What do you mean by that?

Yes I installed and I have my UID

    sudo journalctl --no-pager -u adsbexchange-stats gives me:
Feb 22 14:26:11 FlightAware json-status[6851]: No valid data source directory Found. Tried each of: [/run/readsb /run/dump1090-fa /run/dump1090-mutability /run/dump1090]
Feb 22 14:26:11 FlightAware json-status[6851]: Waiting a bit before next check...
Feb 22 14:26:31 FlightAware json-status[6851]: ERROR: Tried multiple times, could not find any of the directories - ABORTING!
    Feb 22 14:26:31 FlightAware systemd[1]: adsbexchange-stats.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=10/n/a
    Feb 22 14:26:31 FlightAware systemd[1]: adsbexchange-stats.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.

that´s correct. dump1090 runs on a different system. adsb-exchange runs on a VM together with some other Feeders

directly - i mean network mode. beast_in 30005 and so on

    Install readsb: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-scripts/wiki/Automatic-installation-for-readsb

Modify /etc/default/readsb so that the RECEIVER_OPTIONS line reads:

    RECEIVER_OPTIONS="--net-only --net-connector ADDRESS,30005,beast_in"

Replace ADDRESS with the address where you get the beast data from.

Restart the stats script and it should be working.
The stats script requires dump1090/readsb running locally.

    F.A.O. new tar1090 adsbexchange beta

It looks to me the dark blue aircraft silhouttes that show higher altitude traffic are superimposed over other aircraft templates, because these aircraft do not show black edge outline as the other colours that deal with lower altitude traffic.
When i see a twin engine widebody aircraft in dark blue colour it reminds me of hindenburg zeppelin airship. see attachments

    1) Chubby widebody

Hopefully you can release improved dark blue aircraft silhouttes.

    Thank you

I'm confused PSIMPSON, I clearly see a black outline on the plane in your picture.

I am very impressed with this new tar1090 adsbexchange beta.
I have been viewing it constantly since i discovered it last week.
My request is the blue, purple & pink colour aircraft use the same template as the other colours that deal with lower altitude flights as they are clear and more realistic.

    Thank you in advance

The Air Canada B77W shown in green just dep out of YYZ is nice clean design.
The Emirates B77W shown in purple is high altitude and is a more chubby design.
The green Emirates aircraft just dep JFK is a 747 silhoutte and is nice clear design
The blue Saudi B747 silhoutte is high altitude but not as clear design as the Emirates

    Let me explain:

You can see the green better than the purple. It's a bit brighter.
That's somewhat on purpose, highlighting lower altitude aircraft.

Believe me, the only difference is the color.

Maybe use the + button in the top left corner to magnify.
