New image not feeding

I've been feeding successfully for about a month now and have just moved the whole rig to a more permanent (higher) location.

My setup is ADSBExchange image 1.28, RPi 3B+ with extra feeds to FA, FR and PF. All was working normally, until today...

I decided to create a fresh image using 1.28 as I wanted to clean-up and remove some bloat I'd messed up in the original install. This is where it started to go wrong.

Clean install of 1.28 using James' pre-built image. All I've changed is the lat/lon/alt, wifi, and customport entries in adsb-config.txt. However my feed to adsbexchange is no longer showing up.

All local items are working eg. Dump1090, Grafana etc. and I can see plenty of planes on localhost or port 80 from a networked computer. The traffic just doesn't seem to be making off my network to adsbexchange.

I've tried changing the customport back to 30005 (and a couple of other vacant ports) and taking a look there to see if my traffic is showing. No luck.

Any ideas. What did I do wrong? Has something blocked the ports? Apologies I'm fairly new to linux.

Did you check in htop if ADSBx feed is running (mlat and netcat)?

mlat seems to be (and grafana is reporting mlat traffic)
netcat not sure. Possibly not. I'm not too sure what some of the entries in htop mean.

Looking in more detail it's possible that my ADSBx feed is not running but dump1090/Grafana is.

    You should see something like

    Hi. Thanks for your help/clarifications.

    They appear to be there:

The socat script cycling. Spends most of it's time in the sleep 30 state.

Can't connect to server. If you want to see your feeder on coverage map set -- privacy no.
Let it run, if can't connect to mlat server ask James for help or join my Zerotier network.

I have been getting MLAT ok with Privacy Yes. Unfortunately it's pretty quiet here for light aircraft at this time of day so I'm not seeing many. What will Privacy No do?

    Happy to use zerotier. How?

--privacy is removing your location marker on coverage map. All other things are working.

Thanks. Nothing is showing in adsbexchange though? My feed to zcons-51219 is showing 0 aircraft reported. My local dump1090 is working on <localhost>/dump1090/gmap.html and is getting plenty of tracks and MLAT fixes.

Any idea why my feed is blank? Toggling privacy didn't seem to help.

There is possibility that your version of dump1090 is not serving proper format on port 30005. Try to reinstall it (build new version).

It's likely someone might be stepping on your port maybe.

There was data on it at some point.

Is everything still default on that image? I want to login and look at it over Zerotier.

Can you post me the output of:

    sudo zerotier-cli status
    sudo zerotier-cli listnetworks

I think this is VRS related on how it handles ports. I'm going to set these servers to reboot daily.

Thanks James. It seems to have started working again.

I got excited that it was something I did!

    Thanks both for your help.

What d you want to name it? If you are going to keep it feeding for a long time - let's tag it so people don't try to send data to it!

Could you name port 51228 as "alpha2" please?

    Thanks
