This may be a dumb question so I will accept dumb answers. I live in what some might call "the boonies" and have had a horrible ISP the whole time. After being on the Starlink waitlist for a year, they offered me "best effort" service. I accepted. It's orders of magnitude better than the other guys. I noticed that on my anywhere map, the bullseye is centered on south Dallas, like it should be since that's where my public IP resolves to. And my tracked aircraft are where they're supposed to be in NW Arkansas. Duh. Is this a concern to anyone? My little webpage from the Pi is unaffected. Just curious. Thanks for reading, -b
All is normal. If you check the MLAT map, your feeder should show within 5-10 miles of what coordinates you set in the feeder configuration. ADSBexchange.com Feeder Coverage That map shows approximate locations for privacy purposes.
No prob. The "random" location on the MLAT map show various grid corners near your feeder, grids as in the grids Hams use to rough identify locations as far as I know. Thanks for expanding the feeder network and joining the Forum. Next step: follow the discord link on the ADSB-X site and join there too. A screen shot of your feeder status screen sent to any moderator is the magic password for you to get access there.
