Hi Guys, cant see my feed on the website stats page, hope i edited the right file to name my feed. Jonny
Hi guys this is my config file have i edited it correctly to custom feed to port i requested and is my feed name ok? # North latitude is positive, south latitude is negative. # East longitude is positive, west longitude is negative # # Example: Coordinates for London, England are # Latitude: 51.50653 # Longitude: -0.07270 # #adsbx-lat 51.50653 #adsbx-lon -0.07270 # ADSBEXCHANGE MLAT map nickname # # If you want a specific name for your station on the map, enter it here # and delete the #. The last six digit of the pi MAC/Serial # will be # appended to ensure uniqueness. adsbx-nickname JBBHoxton # If you wish to use ADSBexchange.com "Custom Feeds", specify your # feeder id / port number below. Be sure to delete the # at the # beginning of the line. # This allows you to view a screen with _only_ your receiver on the ADSBexchange # website. # # More info here: https://www.adsbexchange.com/how-to-feed/custom-feed-how-to/ adsbx-feederid 51185
Hi James, Yes that's my feed just wanted to make sure I have everything setup correctly has I'm new to the PI3. Also James do I need to adjust anything else in the config file I have been using the piaware file and the ADSB file. Jonny
piaware and adsb file? The piware image has ADSBx config stuff in piaware-config.txt and the custom ADSBx image has config in adsb-config.txt Seems like it's working. Biggest mistake we see people screw up is the lat / long.
Hi James, do I need to enter my Latt and Long in the config file myself, I did it using the flight aware website? Jonny.
Setting it in the config is better and more accurate. The FA ADSBx image I think makes an estimate of where the feeder is using your ISP.
So which config do I alter and were do i put the height entry should i put entries in both the piaware and the ADSB one?. Also James is my feeder name OK the way i have entered it.
Are you running two feeders with different images? I'm confused .. there is only one config file to change for the FlightAware ADSBx combo image it's piaware-config.txt and for the ADSBx image it's adsb-config.txt Feeder name is great.
Hi James, used the Image file from your website to flash SD card ADSBx-piaware-3.5.3-2.1 in the files there are folders ADSB and the Piaware containing two config files I have altered both of them with when I enyered the port 51185. Jonny
.. are you on windows only? or linux? The only file you should have to edit on that image is piaware-config.txt on the /boot partition. That will be the only thing that mounts in Windows and it's probably not called boot either.
Hi James, sry total noob with PI 3 I'm running windows 10 64b right so just alter the one in the Piaware folder. Were does the hieght entry go?
I didn't build that one and not real sure where all the things go for sure. Looks like if it's configured via flightaware then it will set alt based on the lat/lon or maybe they just don't care ... # ADSBEXCHANGE LOCATION CONFIGURATION # # Assuming the PiAware receiver location is set properly # on Flightaware's Website (http://flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/claim), # that location will be used. # To override that location for ADSBexchange MLAT calculations, delete # the leading # from the lines below, and enter your LAT/LON coords. # # North latitude is positive, south latitude is negative. # East longitude is positive, west longitude is negative # # Example: Coordinates for London, England are # Latitude: 51.50653 # Longitude: -0.07270 #
