HI all, I'm a private pilot in Austin and just joined. I've spent some hours with this very capable tool and am slowly learning the ins and outs. As my case study for learning, I'm examine the two planes that collided on the 17th at KVGT. https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?ica...e=2022-07-17&trackLabels&timestamp=1658084578 My question is, when I animate these two planes (using the M) key for multiple aircraft and then click on the track of either plane, I'm assuming the other of them sync and animate in the same timeframe. However, I notice some jerkiness and sometimes one of the plane's icons is oriented the wrong direction, depending on zoom actor. Is it correct that both aircraft tracks should be displayed at the same second in time as the other once you animate them? Any way they could be in different colors for easier differentiation. Also, why do I need to put the HEX number in when searching to find the aircraft when the callsigns or N-numbers reveal no data? Any idea how far back the history goes? Thanks much. Was hoping to attach a video but even at 3MB, a MOV file is not accepted.

    It's kinda broken.
It's not a priority for me.
If it's a priority for you, dive into the javascript and fix it, it's on github.
Same goes for the other issues / improvements you're proposing.

You can use replay maybe: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?replay

History goes back to Mid January of 2020.

Thanks for the response. Wish I knew my way around Javascript. Aside from how your program works, I'm still mystified at how ADS-B in general seems to work sometimes and not others. Any pilot that wants to survive knows not to use ADS-B as a sole means of collision avoidance but I've queried controllers and supposed "experts" on how it all works as to why some targets don't appear when radar detects them and then rebroadcasts their positions. A great tool nonetheless and thanks for building ADSBexchange.

rebroadcast? that has a lot of preconditions .... as in the tower must know someone with ADS-B in is advertising that and in range.

UAT coverage is much worse than 1090 coverage in the US (for adsbexchange).
    It's volunteers with receivers.

    Don't confuse adsbexchange and ADS-B ... :)
