Newbie questions

Hey guys.

I have been following this site now for a couple of weeks and love the fact that I can finally see military and interesting aircraft. I used to hate when something would fly over and I'd run to get my binoculars or camera and miss it and then just sit here wondering what it was. Now I can track it so this is great.

I am very interested in feeding but I am also not very tech savvy.
Is this an easy set up for a beginner?
If something flies over now and I can't see it on the map, will I be more likely to see it since I'm feeding and not leeching?
And I think the wife is also worried that we will have some alien antenna in our backyard or on the house and she has already questioned me about watching a French air force a310 pass over on the screen. If it was really all that interesting. And yes yes it was.

Hey. So to answer the last question first. I have nothing so far. I'm just following along here on this website. I read the how to feed.
And by the sounds of it the raspberry Pi with the antenna and the usb stick is the way I would go. Just to get myself started unless anyone has done this and then realized it's better to just start off a little bit bigger.
I just wanted to know what more I would get out of everything having that set up as opposed to what I am already getting from this website and what does it bring to this website to have another feeder.
I seriously know nothing about all of this but I love it and if I can help in any way , I want to.
