Unfortunately due to weather conditions test is over. Antenna is again inside . Long story about what happened, but will not be outside anymore.
That's interesting, I use the FA antenna in the loft and it's not grounded, I'll have to think of a way to do that and see what difference it makes

I made a 9 section coaxial colinear antenna with RG213 cable. It WAY outperforms the "spider" I built. I also use a Flightaware dongle, the pro one with a filter and input amplifier. Probably double the range now.
even the best collinear of the world couldn't give twice the range of a spider, but if very well made you can expect some improvement on the last miles of your horizon
