probably training, but any other ideas?

    many airfields use ADSB VMAT's on their ground vehicles and label them accordingly to their tasked ops at said airfield.

    i see a ton of them at many US airports, and labelled as TUG**, OPS**, CRASH** etc etc

    most of them carry these

    use 978 MHz and are 100% integrated into ADSB

    i was just wondering if the 'crash' part was of much significance

    from personal experience from KATL and KPDK ( airports in Atlanta area ) Crash** usually is a crash recovery/firefighter vehicle or a fire battalion chief vehicle.
