    Hi,

The range rings seem to have disappeared over night. I only see my location, see screenshot. I allways thought the rings where a usefull feature. Happens in both Firefox and Chrome on my linux machine.

Ah, thanks for that. Is this a new option? Anyhow, glad to have them back.

Yes it's new, i figure most people mostly want the dot for their location.
We'll see ... the default might change (no worries your setting won't change with the default changing).

The rings are usefull to give an idea how long it will take until a contact reaches the set location. You can see the exact distance when you select an aircraft of course. Good to know how to turn them on again. Thanks again for your reply.

Both options are now to be toggled via the layer menu, more logical that way.
Sorry for the back and forth ;)

No location marker or range rings showing on android app despite toggled on and off several times in layers.

Also maybe a separate topuc but display does not refresh on android automatically in background and has to be manually refreshed to get current flights

adsbexchange supplies data for some apps but we don't have an official app.

Are you talking about the webpage?
You need to allow the webpage to query your location or set a location manually (https://www.adsbexchange.com/map-help/).
Otherwise how would it make a location dot or range ring?

If the website is in the background why should it refresh?
Once you bring it back to the foreground it should get the current state though.

Can you specify the exact page / URL you were visiting just to make sure we're talking the same thing?

I can see the issue with the website and Android ... let me look into it.

Setting the location manually via map-help should still work.

Android or rather chrome issue should be worked around ....
The geolocation API now requires user interaction to trigger, so either a dialog or enabling / disabling the layer is necessary.

Sorry yes accessing via web on chrome
    Chrome appl location is enabled.
I have toggled location and rings multiple times in layers and no result.
The display has to be manually refreshed to remove historic data it didnt use to need this as always appeared as per current movement positions. Now hasn't done this for several months

Also tried the manual location set and that doesn't work either

Can you please post the URL you're using (even if it's local interface).

I've tested on Android and it's working fine.
If it's not, reload the page and click the H button or toggle the layers on and off.
It should definitely use the phone location then.

If it doesn't work, please reset the settings via the settings gear menu.
