Hi, I'm going to order Raspberry Pi and wanted to confirm if ADSBx is Compatible with Raspberry Pi 4? Thanks
Any guess on when Pi4 will be supported? I am assuming it will be a full rebuild. I have a busy 1090 only feeder near DFW that keeps dropping MLAT (on FA) due to CPU exhaustion. I think it is a Pi2 today. I am going to bump it to a Pi3 B+ but am thinking once 2020 adsb mandate gets going and I also add a 978 radio that won't be enough either. (I feed ADSBx + FA) --- processor : 0 model name : ARMv6-compatible processor rev 7 (v6l) BogoMIPS : 697.95 Features : half thumb fastmult vfp edsp java tls CPU implementer : 0x41 CPU architecture: 7 CPU variant : 0x0 CPU part : 0xb76 CPU revision : 7 Hardware : BCM2708 Revision : 0013
That seems a little weird. Pi 2 is a quad core. Performance isn't that much lower for stuff like this. Is it wifi using a dongle or eth? Ahh but you probably feed FA and FR24 ... https://www.trustedreviews.com/opinion/raspberry-pi-3-vs-pi-2-2936374 ADSBx custom image usage on a 3B and 3B+ is single digits with dual SDR, grafana, etc etc.
Might be a bad power supply or heat leading to throttling. Not sure how the Pi2 handles that though. Anyhow the information shown above looks like /proc/cpuinfo from a first generation Pi with one core.
I need to get back up to it and change it out. I do not think it is a Pi0, but clearly it does not have enough horsepower. I should be up there next weekend.
