I am trying to listen to liveatc.net and watch adsbexchange.com to see how air traffic controllers are different at different airports. My daughter is going to ATC school so I am a new enthusiast.

I am noticing that the two services seem to be out of sync so it's not much fun to watch as too much time is spent trying to put together what happened when. Is there a fixed amount of delay from liveatc.net? or is it just going to be kind of random? I am a pretty technical guy so any detailed discussion of how to figure the time shift out easliy would be appreciated. My current technique is to find a plane that turns on final approach and is cleared for ILS as that moment is pretty easy to get it within a couple seconds, at BOS for example those pilots are on their toes ready to move fast.

My next thought was to put together videos that capture the screen video and use the audio archive from liveatc.net. Then I found the replay feature for adsbexchange.com and tried to watch those together which are still shifted. Again, any thoughts on making this task easier?

Also, for the replay mode it seems to be missing granularity like the real one. Am I imagining that or is there something that is different. I have the sense in my mind if I recorded the current and then watched the replay later once archived theyw ould be slightly different. Am I just seeing things?

Thanks for any insight you might have.
