I am a 48 yo inflight spotter from Germany and love this service. So i wanna thank everyone who made this possible. When you grew up in the time before FR24 your vision of an radar screen was based on the ATC radar pictures. I know the plane icons are your babies but is it possible to get the option / switch to replace the plane icons with a □ for the plane position and a short trail for every plane with +++++ so it would be like an atc radar screen? □+++++ [Lablel] Keep the color for altitude. Thats a great thing. The old system had the option "plane icons old style" and "short trail for every plane. Again, thank you everyone for making this possible. Giving the planes a square is certainly possible. Short trails using ++++ is a tad more complicated. Short trails like that you can activate like this: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?tempTrails=30 If you then click a plane, the short trails will vanish, just press T to get them back. Squares would be a great icon for unidentified aircraft types on the regular map! I live near Camp Pendleton and can confirm that many of the "jet" icons are actually helos...
This is hard to keep up with but you can post to Discord the mode-hex codes that aren't correct in the #registration-database channel The problem is the military seems to reused a lot of codes or even fly with default manufacturer code in the case of the F-35 Makes it tough to actually give them correct icons
