Setting up a new Feeder with a VM

    Hey Guys,

I am trying to start feeding data here and I have an Oracle VM with Raspberry Pi installed. I am currently using the VM to feed data to FR24 as they discontinued their Windows feeder and since I still use an SBS-1er and Basestation, this was the only alternative. It was a pain to set up and since I am not very familiar with Oracle or scripts it was even harder.

Anyways, I followed the script instructions and managed to get it installed and my feeder ID is at least showing on the /sync website. And here is a screenshot from the /myip part with the IP blacked-out:

    I am in region 2B as "mroc-01".

I did read constantly that FR24 feeder needs to be configured to allow the 1090dump free so that ADSBExchange feeder can read the data but unsure on how that works.

Any help would be appreciated so I can get data out.

How about you just get a Pi and replace the dated SBS decoder? SBS has lot's of decoding issues and is not longer updated.

ADSBx will send you hardware, but you cannot use it to feed other sites and are jackasses to ADSBx. If I'm funding it then you aren't feeding the jerkwards - go ask them for free stuff. No bullshit enterprise accounts or circle jerk dashboards.

Also, putting a VM on windows running linux is not reliable.

PS who gives a shit about FR24, what do they do for you that you must feed them.

The MLAT is only showing because it's trying to make a connection -- if the feeder isn't working then the MLAT is just going into reconnect loops without data.

Just stop doing what you are doing please.
