Hi all, I have just started feeding to ADSBEXCHANGE from a pi zero. Ialso feed to fr24 and flightaware. The installation went ok and everything seems to be working ok except that there are no range rings and my site position is not shown on tar1090map. The relevant box is ticked in Settings. Am I missing something?
Position needs to be set in whichever dump1090 you are using. If you don't know how to set location, you can use this: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-scripts/wiki/Bundle-install-for-dump1090fa Well if you are using the piaware sd-card image, that probably won't work and you have to set the location on your FA stats page and then reboot the pi.
Thanks for your reply. I did as you suggested but still no site location or range rings showing on tar1090. However, both the site location and range rings are showing on the Flightaware map so I think the settings must be correct on the FA stats page. I don't know what else to try. Yes I am using piaware sd card image.
Thanks again for your reply. I have just realised that my site location and range rings are showing on the Global Radar Page. However I have installed the stats package and have been looking at the direct link to my feed which does not have site position or range rings. Is it possible to show site postion and range rings on this direct link?
No, the stats package doesn't show location due to privacy concerns. Thus that's just not possible. You can install tar1090 locally though: https://github.com/wiedehopf/tar1090#tar1090 That will have the location and rings.
