    Team,
Got a few lines of data from dump978 and would like to have someone explain.

Using RTL dongle no special antenna (vertical). My QTH is central Texas - one packet is deep
    S. America and the other is Mid-Alantic ocean. This is exactly as I received it, no edits other
than it's cut out of the data stream:

Is this some sort of distance record?

All it takes is a few wrong 1s and 0s to make bad data. All the more likely to happen without a good antenna.

Thx freqhopping - that makes sense. I have to ask the questions:

HOW many people here knew there was a : Emitter category: Space / transatmospheric ??
Guess that begs the next question: what platform would use this category - high-altitude balloons?
    (future/classified rocket planes?)
