Still MLAT Errors in North East Scotland causing massive errors - Something needs done about this

It would seem that nobody cares that their feed is causing an error in everybody else's MLAT .

Something needs to be done about this - I cant believe that this has not been spotted and rectified. Its as obvious as the nose on your face.

Admins, PLEASE have people check their locations and altitudes and Feeder5 Device Time as there is obviously (see attached images) one (or more) people deliberately feeding incorrect data to the network.

Not only is it bad practice, it makes a mockery of what you are trying to do.

I've uploaded 2 files of the same aircraft one of just the ADSB MLAT feed (jagged line) and one of everybody else's MLAT feed (smooth line).

I don't see how this can be rectified without everyone checking and sorting their locations and times.

I've just rebuilt mine - its is perfectly accurate as confirmed on numerous other MLAT feeds.

Don't be ridiculous, those are not big errors.

If you see an MLAT participant with timeout, it's not being used for MLAT.

There just aren't very many adsbexchange MLAT participants near Aberdeen:
    https://map.adsbexchange.com/mlat-map/

The receivers are close together, that increases MLAT errors.

Additionally we don't ask feeders / mlat participants for email addresses or require an account.
    Thus we can't contact participants.

    Again don't be ridiculous.
Besides the line jumping around a bit, it's clear to see where the aircraft is going.
We could put lipstick on a pig and smooth the jaggedness but that adds delay and pretends accuracy that isn't there.

These are errors that clearly need fixing and it seems that nobody is wiling to do it.
You might like errors in your data, I dont and I dont get it with my other feeds.

I wouldn't abuse any animal. As you can see, my other feeds who care about accuracy have smooth lines as their data is correct.

We don't have as many MLAT participants in that area as for example FA.
Also easy to see in the low level coverage.

MLAT wit few participants is inherently less accurate. Really we can't do anything about those errors.
You can do something about it and recruit 10 more receivers with good reception in the area.

This will be my last post on the topic, i'd recommend not looking at the data if you don't like it.

@EGPD imperfect MLAT track is a proof that we are not filtering/improving data. We show all tracks "as is", without any smoothing and manipulating. If you don't like it...
