the B-52(s) that are involved in the first ever trifecta Bomber flyover for SB55 is live, with its backup DRAGO53 and 63 https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae5875 - 53 https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae5898 - 63 no visuals or tracking for the B-1 or the B-2, im suspecting they are in Mode 5
Currently tracking the b52 here https://www.flightradar24.com/DRAGO53/26c4f595 too bad we can't track the other two
im wondering who will refuel them, this guy: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae038d - Gaspr72 + https://www.flightradar24.com/GASPR72/26c537f1 or this guy: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae0532 - Gaspr71 + https://www.flightradar24.com/26c53dbe which seems to be flying "No Callsign" on FR24
Update: Gaspr72 is now passing perpendicular to the 52's, looks like their refuel will be after the flyover
a Third 135R has just left MacDill https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae0364 no callsign - correction, assigned NICE20 just now
the c-130 flight path is very inconsistent they are days I don't see it all.I will continue tracking heavy tubeliners coming into Atl.About 50mins drive from Dobbins
CONFIRMED: Drago53 is in MODE-5 Military XPNDR Source: B-52 crewman out of Minot Drago63 is on standby and still in ADSB
LMAO, i just had two USAF Veterans tell me that its entirely possible to track a B-1 and B-2 on civilian ADSB........... Drago53 was in the flyover, and was off the scope, confirmed it was in Mode 5. but these two guys are clearly delusional and incapable of distinguishing a closed loop FAA/DoD Tracking source such as ATC RADAR, compared to a civilian ADSB Source. Thats just embarrassing on their part
Well it's entirely possible if they switch their transponders to the correct mode Or they are thinking of ModeC ... which only gives you the squawk / altitude but no location so it's really only useful if you already know what you're tracking.
well, i did some further research, the B1 and B2 are exempt for mandated ADSB equipment. so they literally dont even have to broadcast ADSB data at any given time. whether they are even equipped with one, we will never know. another person has told me that since the B2 was the lead plane, he would have been the only one squawking, the two wingmen would be in standby, and i quite honestly forgot about that. sonce 3 close prox aircraft would be undoubtedly causing TCAS alerts redundently to Miami Center. so the B-2 would have definitely been broadcasting, but aince it cannot be tracked on civilian mode receivers, is the reason the whole formation was non-existent
